STONE Business Network is planning to launch a directory of local shops and services in the autumn, which will be distributed to around 900 households in the village.
Treasurer of the group, Chris Jagborn, said: "We will try to make it as attractive as possible, and it should become the first thing people look at when they want someone to fix their car for example.

"It will enable them to see if there is service available locally."

This will be the first such directory in Stone, with a second edition likely to come out in 2010.
