POLICE investigating the murder or Mustapha Charkaui in Aylesbury are appealing for the public's help for information on a missing purse taken during the incident
Mustapha Charkaui, aged 57, of Dunsham Lane, and his wife, were attacked by two men wearing balaclavas in their home on Monday March 12 at around 10.45pm.

They were both taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment. The woman was released and Mr Charkaui was transferred to the JR2 Hospital, Oxford, where he died on Friday 23 March.

A purse, similar to the picture attached, is believed to have been taken from the house during the incident. Detectives are appealing to the public to contact them if they have seen a purse like this or may have been given a purse similar to this in recent months, as it may prove vital in helping them with their enquiries.

Det Insp George Bain, from Aylesbury CID, said: "This case remains an active murder investigation and anyone who has any information regarding the purse or any other information, however small, I urge you to contact us as your information may be vital."

Anyone with information that could assist police inquiries is urged to contact Det Insp Bain via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.

If you don't want to speak to police and don't want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers Charity on 0800 555 111.
