OUR story about big cat sightings has jogged the memory of correspondent Geoff Matthews
Dear Editor

The article in this week's Bucks Herald about the big cat sighting pricked my memory regarding a photo I took on my old phone whilst out for a walk with my wife.

We were walking through the middle of a ploughed field near Eythrope on the public footpath between the end of Rabans Lane and Nether Winchendon about March or April 2006.

Right in the centre of the field I spotted huge tracks which were around 6-7" long (too big for any dog) and you could clearly see claw marks.

I put my size 9 foot next to it to give some perspective.

Never seen a footprint like it before or since.

Big Cat? I don't know but whatever it was I'm glad that the only evidence of it in the field while I was walking through it was this print. (see attached).

Regards

Geoff Matthews
