Aylesbury United banned from County Cup for five years

AYLESBURY United have been banned from playing in the prestigious County Cup for the next five years in a row over fielding an ineligible player in last season's competition.
The Ducks were kicked out of the competition by the Berks and Bucks FA in the New Year, after Marlow - beaten 3-2 in the second round tie - questioned the eligibility of then United signing James Faulkner.
The Berks and Bucks queried Faulkner's registration with the Southern League and upheld Marlow's objection; United, however, claim their striker's registration was done by the book.
